YGT is a leading Indigenous GTO with a focus on providing Indigenous and non-Indigenous with Apprenticeships and Traineeships. With a solid and supportive ecosystem for our candidates and operated with a key mandate of long-term employment, careers pathways and skill enhancements to Indigenous as well and underrepresented communities as well however our apprenticeship/traineeship programs are for all candidates from all communities and backgrounds.

When you engage us to assist with your apprentice or trainee needs, we will:

  • Source, Interview, Screen and provide you with suitable candidates specific to your business requirements
  • Become their legal employer and handle all government paperwork for the entirety of the placement
  • Manage all training requirements and ensuring the apprentice or trainee is learning the right skills for your business
  • Assign a dedicated Account Manager who is always on hand to provide you with support, information and advice
  • Pay Rate for the apprentices/trainees
  • Statutory Charges including Superannuation
  • Workers Compensation
  • TAFE/RTO tuition fees (where applicable)
  • Mentoring & Support Administration Fees
  • Provide all apprentices & Trainees with standard PPE & safety equipment

Some of our programs include

BINGO X YALAGAN  PROGRAM

Through Yalagan Group Training (YRT), and in conjunction with BINGO Industries we are capable of providing Traineeships, and Apprenticeships to our students looking to get a head-start in the construction industry. Our most recent new-start Dylon Tighe commenced his Traineeship in Certificate III in Waste Management with host employer BINGO INDUSTRIES. Prior to commencing his Traineeship Dylon was also successful in completing his Forklift Training and Assessment with Yalagan Registered Training and now has his forklift licence.

2023- EPP Head Start Programs & Recruitment Programs:  

YGT has proudly partnered with NSW department of education has delivered pre-apprenticeship / pre-employment programs to 200+ candidates across NSW since 2021. These short courses have been carefully developed to not only provide insights & introductions within multiple industries to schools students as well as job seekers but offers real life tickets/licences and skills that in turn increases the participants employability chances.

We are now looking forward to continuing our successful programs in 2023 and beyond to help those interested in trades with:

  • Gain knowledge and understanding of multiple industries before deciding to pursue a full time/part time apprenticeship.
  • Development of skills that lead to a career in trades
  • Exposure of trade pathways
  • Confidence to enter training and employment in trades
  • Fee free Tickets & licences to eligible candidates

HD RIGGING PROGRAM

Jackson joined the YGT family in September to pursue a traineeship in construction with host employer HD Rigging (Australian Site Services). Since starting his traineeship Jackson has impressed both YGT and his host supervisor with his commitment, enthusiasm and desire to learn and we have no doubt Jackson has a bright future ahead of him and YGT is delighted to be part of his Journey.

Jackson’s next goal is to obtain his basic rigging & dogging ticket to further upskill and YGT will be assisting Jackson enrol and will fund his courses to ensure he has the support to further his career.

REVIVE PROGRAM

One program that the Yalagan Group Training has spent an extensive period of time developing is the REvive Correctional Centre day release program, where participants in the last year of their sentence are employed at BINGO and complete a certificate II in Process Manufacturing. The team have been working with NSW Correctional Services to develop the program which will be launching in early 2023 from the Windsor Correctional Centre in conjunction with BINGO Eastern Creek Facility location and Yalagan Group Training.

The candidates will have full time employment with a full time wage and be guaranteed employment opportunities post successful completion of Their traineeship upon release. Additionally YRT and BINGO are providing additional Construction related High Risk Work Licences to enable candidates post completion and release, if they do not wish to continue a career with BINGO they still have necessary skills to enter the construction and infrastructure industries.
